Vice President of Software Engineering
Reporting into CEO, the VP of Engineering will oversee a growing team of 30 and provide technical direction and strategy.
Their current technical stack is:
Javascript / React / Node.
js / AWS / Lambda.

Engineering 30The VP of Engineering will manage the Software Engineering, Quality Assurance & CloudOps organization to build, maintain and innovate on our market leading compliance platform.
The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge of modern software engineering architectures & Agile best practices combined with strong people management capabilities.
The role requires close collaboration and partnership with Product Management & Customer Support to deliver software solutions that will delight our customers as well as support them with their ongoing use of our products.
The position calls for the development and cultivation of a strong technology & engineering culture across teams that are both in-house as well as offshore.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage all in-house engineering teams & outside vendors across Software Development, Quality Assurance, and Cloud Operations functionsWork closely with the Vice President of Product to determine the overall roadmap, engineering estimates, scope, budget, and resource plansDevelop a highly performant engineering operating model and SDLC following Agile methodologies, processes, and best practicesWork with architects to define and drive technical strategy, build-buy-partner frameworks and key modernization initiatives to improve performance and scalability of productsEvolve a distributed engineering organization including driving talent acquisition to expand in-house technical resourcesEnsure that technical & security requirements are clearly articulated and integrated into the product roadmapDeliver risk assessment, management, and mitigation plans associated with ongoing product releasesMinimum Qualifications10
years of senior software engineering/technology management experienceExperience building & scaling remote Software Engineering & CloudOps teamsStrong technical background with at least one of the following:
PHP, Python or NodeJSAbility to develop impactful QA/test automation strategies & plansDeep knowledge of modern cloud environments such as AWS or Google CloudExperience managing technology vendors and IT service providersProven track record of managing technical debt and modernization initiativesPreferred QualificationsPrior experience in the HealthTech space or with regulatory & compliance platformsExperience managing complex, workflow-based software platformsKnowledge of modern serverless cloud architectures.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
