, an employee-owned management consulting and digital transformation company, is looking for highly motivated Mid-level and Senior Database Management Specialists to join our team supporting a Federal client in Rockville, Bethesda, or Frederick MD.
The candidate will provide database management support and collaborate with teams to assist with database infrastructure.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Work and maintain multiple databases for projects of varying sizes and complexitiesImplement procedures to control access and allocation of data and maintain security controlsMonitor and optimize system performance using index tuning, disk optimization and other methodsInstall, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain database systemsImplement, configure, and troubleshoot database instances, replication, backup, partitions, storage, and accessApply knowledge of advanced database design to optimize database performance and guide team in implementation of best practices in database maintenance and administrationMaintain security policy and procedure as it pertains to database content and serversMonitor and analyze existing database infrastructure, propose design changes, and implement improvementsBe responsible for database architecture reviews and participate in code reviews with development teams providing insight for leveraging database capabilitiesMonitor database performance, capacity, availability, and securityForecast growth requirements and make appropriate adjustments to accommodate capacity requirementsParticipate in process to refine and implement database design standards across organization's computing platforms, including naming conventions, performance metrics, patch management, backups, and toolsRequired SkillsExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal skillsExcellent organizational and analytical skillsAbility to work independently and as a member of a teamAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines across multiple communications and outreach projects simultaneouslyAbility to rapidly prioritize competing requirementsAbility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearanceRequired ExperienceBachelor's degree in software engineering or Computer-related disciplineExperience with Database technology, such as MySQL, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQLite, DynamoDB, Aurora, Oracle 19c DatabaseExperience implementing database management processes and database management software applications using industry/Government best practicesKnowledge of how to create, implement, and maintain data file structuresExperience developing and implementing database design, schemas, and table structures, creating, and maintaining database architecture documentation for application portfolios that require databasesExperience providing database administration support and collaborating with teams to assist with database infrastructure provisioning, database version upgrades, and DBA supportExperience with Agile processes, DevSecOps, and Cloud implementation is desired.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
