Help Desk Administrator
1 hour ago Full Job Description Stein Sperling, a well-known and prestigious law firm in Rockville, MD is seeking an IT helpdesk support specialist that is bright, energetic, hard-working, and detail oriented individual.
The position will have the following duties and knowledge (training will be provided on almost all the duties listed):
Assist end users for firm-approved applications using a variety of different methods.
Software includes Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, iManage, Workshare, Needles case management system, Remote Computing (VMWare Horizon, RDSH and VPN) and other applications as deemed necessary.
Set up conference room to use technology services (e.
g.
presentations, network connections, and audio/visual).
Provide end user hardware setup and instruction.
Responsible for managing internal IT needs such as troubleshooting problems with applications, workstations, printers and scanners.
Experience with Microsoft Active Directory for onboarding new users and troubleshooting users login/configuration problems Understanding of LAN/WLAN networking and IP traffic routing Knowledge of TCP/IP based services such as DNS, DHCP Provide end-user support by answering a support line and emails Ability to manage multiple critical projects and maintain high quality of work Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of users Strong work ethic, organization skills & ability to work both independently as well as in teams Help Desk Qualifications / Skills:
Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues Customer-oriented and cool-tempered Excellent communication skills LAN knowledge Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
Associates/Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or experience in a relevant field Prior information technology or systems administration experience is a plus Pay commensurate with experience and education.
