com ALTA seeks a full-time Contractor to assist the Risk Management (RM) Division Chief and the Insurance Manager with the Insurance Section for the Montgomery Co Government activity and tasks and related items.
Assist with analyzing and evaluating contract scopes of service to recommend insurance requirements and critical terms and conditions for County Government Self Insurance Program (MCSIP) members.
Aide in annual renewal of commercial insurance program through underwriting data collection and compilation; and ensuring Certificates of Insurance (both issued and received) and endorsements are compliant with requirements.
Position Requirements:
Skilled in oral and written communication to multiple audiences and organizations and solid negotiating skills.
Familiarity with, knowledge of and the ability to understand commercial insurance coverage.
Analyze scopes of work and contracts for exposures in order to develop insurance requirements for contract and other legal agreements.
Understanding of compliance with insurance requirements and certificates of insurance and a understanding of indemnity provisions in contractual agreements.
A strong customer-service focus is key, as the position has significant interaction with both inside and outside colleagues and works with inside colleagues and outside contractors and vendors.
Attend meetings or perform work at locations outside the office.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Degree.
Preference for candidates with at minimum two (2) years of professional experience in an insurance agency, brokerage or underwriting position or contract legal work.
Professional experience in developing, interpreting, negotiating, and understanding commercial contracts, leases, right of entry agreements; or commercial insurance underwriting or with an insurance brokerage handling commercial property and casualty accounts 3.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
