Program Analyst

Summary This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health, headquartered in Washington, District of Columbia.
Responsibilities WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY Participating and providing expertise and direction to define, track, assess (including periodic re- evaluations) for program planning, data analysis program efforts, and reports on appropriate contract/program performance.
Coordinating, developing and planning process improvements or corrective actions to correct program deficiencies, and serves as a lead advisor to management on how to maintain effectiveness of data driven programs.
Participating in interpretation of program initiatives, directives and policies and provides authoritative advice and assistance to multiple program managers.
Collaborating with senior leadership to establish goals / objectives and develops program recommended actions to ensures program objectives, planning, and execution are coordinated with similar HHS and mission-related programs.

Qualifications:
You must have one year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position.
To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the federal service performing ALL of the following:
Recommending improvements to HIV programs to include program management, policy, administrative and /or communications tools.
Communicating with other program staff, federal colleagues and/or contractors regarding HIV programs and/or policies.
Advising senior management on progress associated with program development.
