Senior Systems Engineer (Perforce)
Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer (Perforce) to join our corporate IT Enterprise Services (ES) Team.
You will be a key subject matter expert and technical contributor for our specialist Perforce (Helix Core) team supporting complex, large source and asset histories shared in geographically distinct, globally connected enterprise-class Perforce servers to ZeniMax Media and AAA game studio partners.
Enterprise-class Linux and full stack application experience are a strong emphasis for this role.
Must be able to mentor the team and be able to support our systems via an on-call rotation.
Responsibilities:
Active participation/contribution within a scrum or kanban agile service delivery team.
Work with technical and non-technical Perforce stakeholders of various skill levels.
Respond to service, change or event requests and escalating or assisting as required.
Create, deliver, and maintain highly available Perforce environments for multiple game studios across geographically distinct locations supporting multiple team source/assets.
Troubleshoot and act as escalation source for downstream support and studio teams.
Understand studio and game creation needs evolve and shift focus as needed.
Collaboratively work with other Enterprise Services teams and participate in on-call rotation.
Qualifications:
5
years' experience delivering Linux-based Perforce or equivalent source control/management enterprise services (TeamHub, Github, Gitlab, BitBucket, PlasticSCM, Microsoft TFS, similar).
Strong understanding of source control, configuration management, and application lifecycle management principles.
Experience with Commit-Edge-Proxy Perforce (Helix Core) Distributed architecture.
Experience troubleshooting and providing resolution to difficult, unfamiliar issues.
Experience with creating and supporting in-house tools or product extensibility with one or more languages:
PowerShell, Python,.
Net Core (C#), BASH, LUA, PHP, Perl.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Perforce SDP/HMS admin & Helix Swarm code review tools.
Experience with Perforce Distributed Version Control System (DVCS) in server-to-server deployment.
Experience with enterprise monitoring and analysis:
datadog, grafana, prometheus, splunk, similar.
Experience with PowerShell 7+/.
Net Core/Salt focused on cross-platform tools/config man.
Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.
Professional certification:
Azure, AWS, VMWare, Linux, CompTIA, Cisco, RH PMP, Agile Scrum, similar.
Experience leading Scrum and/or Kanban Agile ceremonies.
Familiar with ITIL & Team Topologies product/service delivery methodologies.
Salary Range:
Senior Systems Engineer (Perforce) - The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $100,000 - $215,000 per year.
ZeniMax has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets.
The range above reflects the potential base pay across the U.

for this role; the applicable base pay range will depend on what ultimately is determined to be the candidates primary work location.
Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills.
Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year.
Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
At ZeniMax certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, such as merit increases and discretionary bonuses.
