As a Business Development Manager, you will work within the healthcare, senior living, and VA communities to identify, develop, and nurture business opportunities, drive census and sales growth, and contribute to our company's overall business strategy.
This is an independent contributor role with no supervisory responsibilities.
You will report directly to the Vice President of Business Development.
Key Objectives Establish and execute a comprehensive marketing and business development strategy for the assigned geographic area specific to the needs and potential of the area.
Reach or exceed all assigned sales goals for new account acquisitions, service utilization targets, referral volume, lead conversion, and industry partner referrals, etc.
, Manage existing account relationships and act as a consultant to build relationship depth with current customers within the assigned business area.
Analyze the needs of customers to create customized proposals and agreements.
Deliver exceptional customer service to customers, patients, and family members, especially in the context of troubleshooting and resolving conflicts.
Promote all services and solutions to new and established clients through prospecting and cold calling, targeted accounts, lead resources, and current client referral sources.
Establish and maintain good customer relations, with both internal and external customers.
Act as a liaison between your customer and our internal team throughout the sales cycle.
Assist with calls, new client onboarding, customer service concerns, contract assistance, and collecting account documentation to ensure seamless and timely execution.
Engage your healthcare, VA, and senior care provider networks and build lasting partnerships.
Participate in assigned meetings, and scheduled calls, and regularly communicate with other team members as directed.
Develop and maintain territory reports (90-day plans, SWOT, sales funnel, CRM log) accurately and on time, as directed.
Proactively advise management and internal support teams on customer service needs (consulting, training, service, and product), customer concerns, and organizational changes affecting the client.
Provide visibility for our company and services by participating in health fairs, support groups, community engagement opportunities, and relationship-building opportunities with a variety of aging care stakeholders in the community.
Gain an ongoing understanding of the competitive landscape.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications for this Role Undergraduate degree preferred in Business, Marketing, Management, Communications, Public Relations, Healthcare Administration, or Nursing.
Minimum of two years of business development experience in healthcare preferred, or other relevant business development experience.
Background in the home care or senior living sector is a plus.
Clear verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrate sales and financial intelligence.
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Must be proficient in the use of computers, MS applications, and CRM tools.
HubSpot is a plus.
Able to travel daily throughout the specific geographic area; overnight and/or evening travel may be required (10% of the time); must be able to attend evening and/or weekend industry networking events off-site when needed.
