3 Rockville, MD Rockville, MD Part-time Contract Part-time Contract $17 - $25 an hour $17 - $25 an hour After School Lead Youth Program Provider Responsible for on-site operations of the program inclusive of ensuring children are actively engaged in safe and enriching activities and communication with key stakeholders (SWE Youth Director of Operations, school/site administration, staff and parents).
Responsible for implementing curriculum.
Work directly with young people to develop their life skills by providing quality programming and mentorship.
Assist young people to express and realize their goals.
Encourage young people to broaden their horizons and be active citizens.
Ensuring within your means that the young people are safe and secure in you program hours.
Communicate effectively.
Positively represent So What Else Inc.
to your program site.
Assist in the development of relationships with wider community and external agencies.
Provide supervisorial support to on-site volunteer or program aides.
Skills & Abilities:
Ability to follow and implement curriculum effectively.
Must have knowledge of and be able to teach one or more of the following subjects:
STEM, visual arts, theater arts, sports & athletics, environmental science, and/or dance.
Ability to teach and lead 20-30 students at a time.
Ability to work in a team.
Ability to enforce all rules and to make effective decisions to ensure the safety and security of program participants.
Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups from all social and economic segments of the community.
Ability to work on own initiative.
Creativity, patience and flexibility.
Ability to provide direction and feedback to children, parents and school administration and So What Else staff.
Requirements:
Must have transportation.
Must be available after school hours between 2pm and 7pm.
