We are seeking a motivated Administrative Assistant/ Patient Liaison to join our passionate and dedicated team.
The available position is for an on-site Administrative Assistant who will serve as a fundamental part of our growing concierge practice.
Our practice, conveniently located in Rockville, Maryland, provides services to the Washington, D.
C.
metropolitan region and the surrounding areas.
Our services include bariatric surgery, foregut, and minimally invasive general surgery.
We are a small surgical practice with one Surgeon and one Physicians Assistant.
What our team needs is a self-motivated, energetic, organized team player.
Someone with strong analytical, interpersonal, and customer service skills who is willing to to assist in all aspects of the business.

Administration:
40% Review and approve employee timecards Open and sort incoming mail Work closely with the billing department to ensure proper coding and billing in a timely manner Update CAQH profiles, manage office insurance policies (workman's comp, general liability, professional liability / malpractice) Manage all vendor relations Assist in marketing plans for the business Manage the appointment book for both the Surgeon and Physicians Assistant Patient Liaison- 60% Check patient's in for their appointment and update demographic/ insurance information Review and document patient insurance benefit information Answer phone calls and respond to email and fax requests Assist in scheduling both office appointments as well as surgical procedures Coordinate with hospitals and surgery facilities to ensure all required documents and clearances are received Submit and follow up on prior authorization for upcoming surgeries Facilitate and manage care plans for patients by helping to make appointments, weekly check-ins, and answer general questions Work closely with the clinical team to ensure clear communication and efficient patient assistance Discuss costs and financial agreements with patients before surgery Collect all payments for office visits and procedures Accurately input data and notes into EMR system The ideal candidate will have:
Exceptional customer service skills An entrepreneurial and sales-like attitude Previous healthcare industry experience Knowledge of health plans and insurance reimbursement Requirements &
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience 3 years related progressive experience in healthcare 3 years of medical insurance, prior authorization, and billing experience, preferably with PPO and Medicare plans 2 years of surgery scheduling (preferred) Job Type:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
