Each law clerk shall have at least 1-3 years of experience performing litigation support functions in Federal district court cases. Due to the nature of the litigation, the government's preference is law clerks with a familiarity with IHS, the ISDEAA, and the Contract Disputes Act, and/or assessment of financial statements and costs.
The contractor will provide the following
services
:
Perform legal research: The contractor will research laws, regulations, case law, court rules, and other authorities on various topics as assigned. The contractor will synthesize and interpret the research and will summarize legal rules in memoranda.
Draft memorandums: The contractor will draft original memoranda summarizing legal research and analysis.
Draft claims- and litigation-related documents: The contractor will draft statements of legal rules for incorporation into various claims- and litigation-related documents.
Conduct claims review: The contractor will provide an initial review of contract claims for legal sufficiency. The contractor will extract key data points from the claims for entry into a database.
Assist with discovery requests: The contractor will provide assistance with responding to discovery requests, which may include, but is not limited to, performing document review.
The contractor will provide other legal support services to attorneys upon request.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
