Job Description :
Candidate will be supporting the Utility Solutions organization within Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) - LM Energy (LME), which is made up of a portfolio of energy efficiency, operation/IT solutions, smart grid capabilities, advanced storage solutions and programs.
Specifically, the candidate will be responsible for the financial oversight and reporting of Orders, Sales, EBIT and Cash to financial leadership for multiple programs. The candidate will perform the following Program Finance duties that include, but not limited to Estimate-At-Complete (EAC) management, Profit & Loss statement analysis, commercial account disbursement management, invoicing, analyzing/reviewing VARs, supporting Program Management with customer reports, incentive processing, month-end close, cash management, quarterly and annual financial reporting, CAM responsibilities, and financial planning and analysis for responsible programs.
In addition, the candidate will be responsible for supporting commercial new business pursuits and strategic pricing. The analyst will support the development and pursuit of pricing/cost estimating efforts for multiple contract types and commerciality elements that do not fall under FAR/CAS compliance. Duties include helping to develop sophisticated models to support unique and complex proposals in accordance with the request for proposal (RFP) specifications.
Coordinates activities and participates in market studies, analyzing competitive positions, should-cost, and presents pricing and recommendation to management, including up to Executive Planning Panel (EPP) reviews.
Periodic travel will be required, approximately 10% or a few days a month.
Basic Qualifications
Program Finance experience (month-end close, CSRs, CAM, LRP)
Pricing & Cost Estimating experience or understanding of rate build-ups and modeling
Advanced MS Excel (i.e. modeling, financial tools and sensitivity analysis)
Excellent team and interpersonal skills
Forecasting Orders/Sales/EBIT/Cash
Desired skills
Services accounting experience (POT)
Commercial ledger experience or multi-ledger understanding
Working knowledge of SAP or similar experience with data mining and financial reporting tools
Accounting knowledge (Revenue Recognition Methodologies, Balance Sheet)
Appreciation for and understanding of energy saving initiatives and electric public utilities
