Your typical responsibilities will include Supervise a team of data curators to harmonize data collection across human subjects research in mental health and substance abuse, representing 1300 projects.
Provides expertise in the integration of a variety of heterogeneous public health information systems and databases, the sharing and dissemination of public health information, and the interaction of information security technology and the requirements for privacy and confidentiality of public health data.
Be a hands-on part of the team, assisting with data manipulation and formatting to fit existing data models.
Seek to innovate the data curation process by applying tools and methods to data curation to accelerating data ingestion through automation.
Assist with data manipulation and formatting to fit existing data models.
Track, manage, review, and report on data submissions made by NIH Grantees.
Oversee Quality Assurance of Data.
Serve as Product Owner for NDA software development related to data curation, harmonization, and ingestion.
Requirements An advanced degree, preferably a Masters in biomedical engineering, bioinformatics, molecular biology, genomics, or equivalent background At least 4 years of relevant work experience.
Extensive experience writing SQL queries.
Experience leading and managing a team.
Strong oral written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills, and be able to work well alone and as part of a team.
Highly preferred experience Experience in Biomedical data curation.
Deep knowledge in at least one of the fields of biology, neuroimaging, or genomics.
Experience in dealing with clinical or phenotypic data collection instruments used to collect data from human subjects.
Knowledge of biomedical data ontologies and interoperability standards.
HL7 skills would be relevant in the future.
