Public Health Advisor

Plans and manages significant public health programs directly related to OASH mission activities. Acts as liaison on preventive health issues between the HHS and other organizations including the private sector. Provides programmatic leadership for initiatives involving planning, developing, and advising on national public health policies related to emerging science and public health policies issues. Analyzes public health policies, programs, and statistical standards to advise senior management and negotiate agreements that have far-reaching impact. Serves as an authority for the development and execution of the national level public health program or function assigned. Experience:
GS-14:
You must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-13 level in the Federal service that includes the following:
Developing public health programs and/or policies to improve the health and well-being of populations; Recommending implementation actions based on assessments of public health program developments; and Evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of public health programs delivery. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through national Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to gain employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. If such experience is on a part-time basis, you must provide the average number of hours worked per week as well as the beginning and ending dates of the experience so it can be fully credited. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of the announcement.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
