Supervisory Social Science Analyst

Plans, manages, organizes and directs all programs to enhance and/or expand agency evaluation, quality improvement and performance management activities. Applies knowledge of administrative and program management principles and skills in carrying out the mission of the office. Initiate decision-making processes and projects related to Center for Behavioral Health Statistics and Quality (CBHSQ) and SAMHSA program plans, strategic goals and related activities. Establishes and maintains good working relations and serves as CBHSQ's liaison with individuals representing other component of CBHSQ, SAMHSA and DHHS, other federal agencies and external partners as it relates to office priority areas. Determines the effectiveness of SAMHSA program areas and policies needing special emphasis and recommends initiative, acceleration or curtailment of certain efforts or policy changes to assure attainment of goals. Basic Qualification Requirements:
A. Have at least a bachelor's degree in behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR B. Have a combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. OR C. Have at least four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. AND Additional Qualification Requirements:
In addition to meeting the Basic Qualification Requirements candidates must also:
Have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service that includes providing oversight and management of public health evaluation and performance management programs, and related methodologies that target specific public health populations and communities; utilizing a wide range of advanced qualitative or quantitative tools for the assessment of public health program effectiveness; using statistical software to handle data manipulations and analyses. Experience:
In accordance with Office of Personnel Management policy, federal employees are assumed to have gained experience by performing duties and responsibilities appropriate for their official series and grade level as described in their position description. Experience that would not normally be part of the employee's position is creditable, however, when documented by satisfactory evidence, such as a signed memorandum from the employee's supervisor or an SF-50 or SF-52 documenting an official detail or other official assignment. The documentation must indicate whether the duties were performed full time or, if part time, the percentage of times the other duties were performed. It is expected that this documentation is included in the employee's official personnel record. In order to receive credit for experience in your resume that is not within the official series and grade level of your official position, you must provide a copy of the appropriate documentation of such experience as indicated above. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through national Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to gain employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. If such experience is on a part-time basis, you must provide the average number of hours worked per week as well as the beginning and ending dates of the experience so it can be fully credited.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
