Formulation Process Engineer
Formulation Process Engineer needed! Direct Hire with Full Benefits Rockville, MD Relocation Assistance available! This Formulation Engineer will support the development of our next generation medicine manufacturing platforms.
Our manufacturing platform is comprised of modules that can chemically synthesize active pharmaceutical ingredients, purify crude products, and formulate into finished drug product.
This position will be responsible for:
Designing and developing formulation processes for various compounds, including for oral dosage forms and sterile injectables.
Working with scientists and engineers to enable innovative approaches for formulation, fill/finish and packaging to produce FDA-approved drugs.
Participating in project management and product development strategies, including leading technical, legal, and regulatory aspects of formulation activities.
Writing and reviewing CMC reports and documentation for regulatory filings.
Maintaining leading edge by keeping up to date on regulatory guidelines, technical innovations, and new developments within the pharmaceutical industry.
Delivering results in a high paced environment.
Minimum Hiring Standards:
Master's or PhD in Pharmaceuticals Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related discipline.
Experience with oral, parenteral, or other dosage form development, process optimization, and scale up.
Experience with industrial and innovative processes and technologies, including downstream processes such as fill/finish and packaging.
In-depth knowledge in pharmaceutical product development, CMC regulatory requirements, and project management.
