Security Officer, FT evenings

The security officer ensures that security policies and procedures are carried out in a timely fashion.
1.
Ensures a safe environment for our patients, staff, visitors, physicians and volunteers2.
Ensures quality outcomes for security department by communicating effectively with security, staff and the public3.
Uses time and resources in a financially responsible manner4.
Fosters group cohesiveness within the security department5.
Portrays a positive image of the organization.
o High School Diploma or equivalent o Previous security experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
o Must possess Maryland Driver's License o Must qualify for a Maryland Special Police Commission (Clean Criminal History required) Description of Working Conditions:
o Required to wear a uniform while on duty.
o Required to lift decedents on occasiono Conducts foot patrols of the facility and parking areas.
o Conducts vehicular patrols of the parking areas and off site locations o Assists with restraining violent patients o Must be able to respond to physically demanding emergency callsWork Schedule:

Adventist HealthCare will withdraw offers of employment to applicants who test positive for Cotinine (nicotine) and marijuana.
Those testing positive are given the opportunity to re-apply in 90 days, if they can truthfully attest that they have not used any nicotine products in the past ninety (90) days and successfully pass follow-up testing.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
